According to the legend, in 1646, when the owner of the village of Ruda Anna Voyankovska was going through the Kokhavyno oak woods on her way to Zhydachiv, her horses kneeled in front of this icon and did not move until she left the carriage and prayed.<br \/>\nIn 1650 the icon was already famous for its wonder-working effect. People tried to place it in the church in Ruda several times, but each time it went back to its previous place.<br \/>\nIn 1902 a new brick chapel was erected in the place of the appearance of the wonder-working icon, where there used to be an old wooden chapel. Then the stone church was also expanded. On August 15, 1912, with the blessing of Pope Pius \u0425 the wonder-working icon of the Mother of God was crowned. In fact, today its copy brought from Poland in 2000 is kept there. And in Poland, in the church of the town of Gliwice there is the original of the icon taken away in 1939 by the monks after the arrival of the Soviet authorities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><style
