The first mentions of the monastery date back to the second half of the XVth century, and it was probably built further in the XIIIth\u2013XIVth c. Contemporary studies point to the fact that the rock had been used back in the pagan times as the place of settlement or hideaway. The very rock massif is located at the foothill, on its northern slope, therefore, the monastery, located on the hill amidst the woods and some 200 metres from the south-eastern periphery of the village, was hardly accessible for attackers. The rock complex consists of two parts \u2013 the main one with the premises within the rock and two smaller rocks.<br \/>\nThree caves are located amidst the main thick rock massif, and they are located on two layers. On the first one there are two premises, while on the second (with the stairs leading to it) \u2014 one. The researchers consider the lower large cave to be a residential room to which a storage room was attached, while the upper cave \u2014 the monastery church.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><style
