The synagogue was opened on July 27, 1904 with no solemn ceremonies: in the evening, at 7 p.m., the holy books of Jews \u2013the Torah \u2013 were brought to the new synagogue from the prayer house, and after that a prayer and consecration of the building took place.<br \/>\nThe synagogue was built in the neo-Moorish style \u2013 romantic style, with inserted Byzantine and Arab-Moroccan motives. The central balcony depicting the Star of David within a large circle constituted a bright fa\u00e7ade element.
