The history of the monastery started when the representatives of the Rivne regional community decided to commemorate the Heroes of the Hurby battle and to build the Pantheon of Glory in Hurby natural landmark, where the found remnants of the UPA warriors and soldiers would be reburied. And side by side with the Pantheon of Heroes – to build the Holy Resurrection Monastery at the Rebels’ Graves. In 2006 on the Holy Protection Day, the day of the patron of Ukrainian Cossacks and UPA warriors, the first line of the Pantheon was opened and the remnants of the found warriors of the “army without the state” were reburied. In the autumn of 2007 the second line of the Pantheon of Heroes was opened, and two more remnants were reburied as well as a column with the sculpture of the Mother of God – Protection – was erected.
