The Catholic monastery was founded in Bohorodchany in 1691 at the expense of K. Potocka. Initially the Holy Trinity Cathedral, together with the monastery complex side by side with it, was built of wood and consecrated in 1691. The wonder-working icon of the Mother of God with the Holy Child, brought by the first fathers-preachers, was kept here. In the first half of the XVIIIth century the Catholic centre was burnt, but the Holy icon was saved. After World War II the religious institution in those premises was liquidated. The holy icon of the Mother of God of Bohorodchany was taken in 1944 to Polish Jarosław. The monastery premises were used for different purposes, including for the music school that has been in existence up till now. The complex of the Dominican monastery consists of the former Holy Trinity Cathedral and is attached to it from the north of the п-like two-storey clerical-cell building, and they together form a closed space with an internal yard. Build in the baroque style, it was further plastered and painted.
